Get those birds.
You gotta get those birds.
Hands up, hands up!
Gotta get those birds.
Verse 1 (jesse the Tree):
The red wallpaper peel slow
Life vaporized in the mortal eyes of a dormant fly
I absorb a tide, adorn a message in a bottle on my sleeve
Sun dried, made an orange sky
With a war in mind, trying to breathe easy
Kiss the fertile ground that holds souls beneath me
I dreamed my teeth personified to eat me,
That’s why I prolly seem solemn when you meet me ,
But I’m good, just deciphering these signs sent
My time spent dissecting how the light bends
Treat a mic like a snake charmer,
Gotta barter with it’s thoughts, remain calm and then break armor,
The harboured ill will converted to pen spill,
Absurdity served, string bean and fresh herbs
Certainty is just another word, word
(Chorus)

Sometimes you come across an artist that is compelled to do what they do.
I appreciate the musicality and the arrangement and the artistry of the songs. He sings and plays like his life depends on it. I appreciate the humanity of the lyrics… Like reading Tortilla Flats, or watching Nobody’s Fool.
Ceschi is a bright star. I’m glad he’s loose in the world. oldtruck

Absolutely love this record, and so happy Buck is back, but is it just me or does Buck’s voice sound totally different from his mid-2000s Talkin’ Honky era stuff? Like his voice is higher and smoother, I wasn’t even sure it was him. Is this a return to his really early straight hip-hop stuff, without the country and blues influences? misanthropologist
